About Pizza Hut Park
The first large-scale soccer facility of its type in the United States, Pizza Hut Park opened on Aug. 6 of 2005. Located at the intersection of Main Street and the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco, Texas, Pizza Hut Park is approximately 30 miles north of downtown Dallas.
The combination of a world-class stadium and a sports park make Pizza Hut Park one of the best and most unique soccer facilities in the world. Included in the facility is the 21,193 state-of-art pro soccer stadium, along with 17 championship quality soccer fields located just north of the stadium. The 117-acre master development will be used over 300 days a year, hosting Major League Soccer matches, U.S. Men's and Women's National Team soccer matches, major concerts, international soccer matches and High School football.
A facility built by both private and public funds, Pizza Hut Park was made possible by an innovative public and private partnership between the Hunt Sports Group, the City of Frisco and its Economic and Community Development Corporations, as well as Collin County and the Frisco Independent School District.
Pizza Hut Park features 18 suites that are approximately 500 square feet in size and are located on the West side of the stadium. The suites are immediately above the lower bowl seating area and provide an outstanding view of both the playing field and the concert stage. All suites are positioned along full sideline. At $35,000, the suites are the most affordable sports team luxury entertainment option in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Despite moving into a sparkling new stadium, the FC Dallas 2005 average ticket price of $13.35 is the second lowest in MLS when compared to 2004 prices. The 2004 average ticket price at the Cotton Bowl was $14.15. As part of the 2005 pricing structure, full season ticket packages for FC Dallas are priced significantly lower versus 2004 prices at the Cotton Bowl. 82% of the seats in Pizza Hut Park have an equal to or lower price than their 2004 Cotton Bowl counterpart.
In addition to FC DALLAS action, Pizza Hut Park is the focal point of youth and adult soccer in North Texas and around the country. An estimated 1.4 million spectators and participants are expected to visit the facility annually. North Texas Soccer, the largest joint youth and adult soccer association in the United States, signed a marketing partnership with Pizza Hut Park which will further enhance brand awareness for both properties throughout the region. Furthermore, the United States Youth Soccer Association will be headquartered at Pizza Hut Park. US Youth Soccer is the largest member of the United States Soccer Federation, the governing body for soccer in the United States. On top of all of this, there is a built in concert stage at the North end of the stadium. This will allow the Pizza Hut Park to host major concerts throughout the year.
Pizza Hut Park, which broke ground on February 18, 2004, includes signature partnerships with Dr Pepper, Texans Credit Union and Baylor Health Care System. In the first relationship of its kind in all of soccer, Baylor Heath Care will build a 6,000 square foot rehabilitation center that will be seamlessly integrated into the Northwest corner of Pizza Hut Park.
In perhaps the biggest announcement of the stadium to date, Major League Soccer on November 12, 2004 decided to make Frisco the destination for MLS Cup 2005. MLS Cup 2005 will mark the first time that the League's champion is crowned in the state of Texas.
