Professional
2008: In third season with the team, posted career-highs in starts (23) and games played (24) after coming into the season with only one previous appearance in first two seasons…Made eight starts on the left side of the midfield before moving to left back, where he started 15 games...Started both U.S. Open Cup games and appeared in four of the team's six international friendlies…Picked up one assist in three Reserve Division starts…Missed the May 18 and 24 contests while appearing in all three games for the U.S. U-23 team in France at the Toulon International Tournament.2007: In his second year, made his first ever-appearance on the 18-man day of game roster on opening day in 2-2 draw at RSL on 4/7. Went on to make 12 day of game roster appearances… Made his professional debut and started first career MLS game on 9/30 vs. HOU at left back and went the full 90 minutes… Started and played in 11 of the team's 12 Reserve matches this season.
2006: Made his debut with the first team entering in the 11th minute of the 2-0 win vs. Tigres in the friendly series, The Rio Grande Plate on 7/19…started second-leg on 7/26 in Monterrey, Mexico…Started 7 of the 8 FC Dallas Reserves he played in, playing primarily as a left back, but also seeing action at center back, and center and left midfield…was away with the U.S. U-20 team on four different occasions, including trips to Argentina, Northern Ireland, South Korea, and Canada.

2008: Started all three games for the U.S. U-23 team in the Toulon International Tournament in France (May 2008).2007: Played for the U.S. U-20 in friendly versus Haiti at Pizza Hut Park in March.
2006: Joined the U.S. U-20 team for a camp in Argentina (April 18-28), appearing all three of these games, including starts against Arsenal on 4/22 and the Argentina Under-20 National Team on 4/ 26…called in for a camp in Canada in July…part of U.S. U-20 in the 2006 Milk Cup in Northern Ireland (July 27-Aug. 4)…also part of U-20 team for Busan International U-20 Four Nations Tournament, playing in all three games from 8/25-9/2.2003-2005: Was a member of the U.S. U-17 residency program in Bradenton, FL from 2003-2005… Joined the U.S. Soccer Residency Program in September of 2003…Member of the U-17 National Team that competed in the World Championships in Peru (2005)…Has 20 caps with the U-17 MNT… Scored his first international goal against Uruguay on 7/15/2005 in Brazil.
Personal
Born in Atlanta, he moved with his family to San Diego at 10 months old, and then to Tampa when he was 4 years old.. Attended and played at Wharton High School for his freshman year in 2002 before moving to the U.S. Residency Program in Bradenton, FL for his final three years of high school...at Residency with current teammates Eric Avila, Dax McCarty, and Anthony Wallace…played club soccer with Blackwatch Soccer Club in Tampa, where they won three state championships...also played one year with HC United, also in Tampa...Was committed to the University of Maryland prior to joining the Generation adidas program...full name is Blake Raymond Wagner...son of Bo and Carol…has older brothers, Brett and Brandon, and younger sister Allegra.
