Acquired

SFrom Toronto FC on Nov. 17, 2006 along with Toronto's natural second round pick (14th overall) in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft, in exchange for midfielder Ronnie O'Brien. Had been selected by Toronto from the Houston Dynamo in that day's MLS Expansion Draft.

Professional Experience

2007: Joined FCD after Canadian National Team camp in February…was diagnosed with Osteochronditis Dessicans, a bruise to the medial (inside) end of the femur bone that either never fully healed or was caused as a result of repetitive smaller injuries. Had knee surgery on February 20, keeping him out of action for the first part of the season… Appeared on the 18-man day of game roster for the first time against HOU on 6/30…Made his FCD debut when he started on 7/14 vs. DC… Left 8/11 game early with a left hamstring strain… Was left of roster for 9/15 game at NE after playing 90 minutes for Canada in a friendly vs. Costa Rica on 9/12… Started 9/20 game vs. CHI at centerback but moved to defensive midfield for the second half, as Ricchetti left at halftime due to a hamstring strain… Started 9/23 game at LA at centerback but again moved to the midfield in the 67th minute, with Aaron Pitchkolan entering and moving to center back… Faced former club, Houston, for the first time since joining FCD on 9/30… Started the final three regular season games in the middle of the field…

2006: Was used in both central defense and the center of midfield by the Dynamo, appearing in 20 games and making 15 starts. He scored one goal during the regular season and then appeared in all four of the team's postseason games, helping lead Houston to the franchise's first MLS Cup championship…was first signed by the New York Red Bulls on March 1, 2006 and traded to Houston on 3/24 for midfielder Danny O'Rourke.

2005: With Millwall, played in the English League Championship for the second year in a row ... Started and played in two games…Played in the English Carling Cup, where Serioux started and played the full 90 minutes.

2004: Signed a two-year contract with Millwall in 2004 and played the 04-'05 season with them in the English League Championship, where he played and started nine games.

2000-2004: Left the University of New Haven to join the Toronto Lynx of the A League…in 2001, Serioux garnered Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named to the League's all-star team.

International

2008: Participated in a January camp in Fort Lauderdale to prepare for World Cup Qualifying…Has earned ten caps total since 2004.
2007: Appeared in a friendly against Costa Rica on 9/12 at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario.
2006: Started and played 84 minutes vs. USA on J1/22.
2005: Played 90 minutes against Spain on 9/3...Played against Costa Rica and the United States at the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
2004: Made his Canadian National Team debut as a substitute against Guatemala in the semi-final round of WCQ on 8/18…Started against Guatemala in the semi-final round of WCQ on Nov. 17, 2004....

Personal

Attended Pope John Paul II High School in Toronto, where he played soccer, basketball, volleyball and ran track…Played with Malvern Club soccer team while growing up….with Malvern, he led his team to win five out of six "Provincial Cups" eventually earning the National Championship…Serioux played one year of collegiate soccer at the University of New Haven in Connecticut in 1999…while with the Canadian National B-Team in 2004, the team had a friendly versus Millwall, which offered Adrian a contract after the game…listens to reggae and hip-hop music…both parents were born in Trinidad and Tobago.
