Professional Experience
2007: Sat out the opener vs. RSL with a suspension that carried over from 2006…Scored the game-winning goal in 2-1 win vs. RSL on 5/20, a left-footed blast from about 25 yards out, which won MLS Goal of the Week honors…That goal was also selected by the FCD fans as the team's Goal of the Year…Missed the 6/3 game at Houston while with the Liberia Natioinal Team, in which he started in 2-1 loss to Cameroon in an African Nation's Cup qualifier on 6/3 in Monrovia, Liberia…Received fifth yellow card of the season at COL on 6/23 and missd the 6/30 HOU match due to suspension…Registered the assist on Dax McCarty's first career goal, in 2-1 loss at LA on 9/23…Received two yellow cards on 9/23 at LA, forcing him to miss the 9/30 game vs. HOU…Wore the captain's armband six times this year in place of regular team captain Carlos Ruiz.2006: Was selected as the team's Defender of the Year after appearing in a career-high 28 games at left back…converted penalty kicks in wins over Tigres UANL (5-4 on PKs after 2-2 tie on aggregate in the Rio Grande Plate on 7/26; and the Charleston Battery (5-3 on PKs in 4th Round Open Cup on 8/3 after 3-3 tie)…was shown his first red card in his career in the 68th minute of the 2-1 win vs. KC on 4/23…had first two career game-winning assists in 4-0 win vs. NE on 5/20 and in 3-2 win @ CHI on 7/15…received a red-card in the playoff loss to Colorado on Oct. 28 and will serve the one-game suspension in the first game of 2007.

2004: Started 20 of the 23 games he played in, at one point starting 11 consecutive games from 5/15 - 7/17…Missed the first two games of the season with an ankle injury… missed game on 10/9 @ Los Angeles while with the Liberia National Team.
2003: Started 17 of 22 games played…Scored his first career goal on 5/31 vs. DC…Registered his first career assist on 6/14 vs. SJ…Started nine consecutive matches from 7/5 - 8/23 before missing three matches with an ankle sprain, which he had surgery on at season's end.

2001: Co-captained Connecticut to a 15-5-2 record and the school's fourth consecutive Big East Regular Season Championship…Received first team NSCAA All-America honors for the third straight season…Was selected to the All-New England First Team for the fourth consecutive year… earned Big East Defensive Player of the Year honors for a record three straight seasons…Was also the first four-time All-Big East First Team selection in Conference history…Was named a finalist for both the 2001 Hermann Trophy and Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Award…Was a Soccer America Collegiate MVP for second consecutive year.2000: Won the Hermann Trophy (best College Soccer Player) while leading Connecticut to the National Championship…Scored the game-winning goal on a freekick in UConn's 2-0 victory over Creighton in the College Cup Final and was named the College Cup's Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

Moved to Houston, Texas from Liberia in 1989, and became a U.S. citizen in 2001…attended Cy Falls HS in Houston…played club soccer with the Houston Dynamos and Houston Hurricanes….Has a degree in sociology from Connecticut…Played corner back on HS football team for three years and was offered a scholarship from LSU, but chose Connecticut's scholarship offer to play soccer instead…During his junior year at UConn, had a workout with club Tenerife in Spain, which had just been promoted to the first division, and was offered a contract…However, on his way to the office to sign the contract, the team's managers were called and asked to wait for the club's Sporting Director to be present in a week...Instead, Chris went to Norway to workout with first-division club Vatadanga, which also offered him a contract…Chris chose to remain in school for his senior year instead...likes to read real estate books and magazines…listens to a wide range of music - from classical performers such as Andreas Boccelli to rap artists 50-cent, Lil' Wayne, and Li'l Flip….would like to go into broadcasting, real estate, and coaching when his playing career is over…trained with IK Start of Norway's first division prior to the 2007 season… younger brother Sandy was selected by FCD in the 2007 Supplemental Draft…has a younger sister who lives in Houston with his parents…Dad played semi-pro soccer in Liberia.
