Professional

2008: Was loaned to the Portland Timbers (USL-1) for the start of the 2008 season, however FCD recalled him on July 3…At Portland, Burse made 13 appearances, compiling a record of 5-3-5 and registering seven shutouts while surrendering nine goals…His two regular season starts with FCD came in back-to-back games at Colorado on June 1 and at New England on June 8…Also started the team's 3rd Round U.S. Open Cup game against Miami on July 1 (2-1 win), and both friendlies versus Mexican-partner Tigres UANL on Feb. 20 (2-1 loss) and Oct. 14 (3-2 win)… Served as the backup goalkeeper in 20 regular season games this year, with seven of those coming while he was still on loan to Portland… Finished the year with a 3-4 record in Reserve Division play with one shutout...Missed the July 19, July 27 and Aug. 3 games due to a right ankle injury.

2007: Made professional debut on 7/24 vs. Chivas de Guadalajara in SuperLiga, a 1-1 draw. ..Started first MLS game on 8/4, a 1-0 shutout win over Colorado…Started the USOC Quarterfinal Game, a 2-1 OT win at the Charleston Battery on 8/7…Became the 100th player to appear for DAL in U.S. Open Cup play on 8/7 vs. Charleston…Started at CLB on 10/6 and made 8 saves in 3-1 victory to clinch a playoff berth…Earned his second MLS shutout in 0-0 tie with CHV on 10/11…Finished the season with a 3-2-1 record (two shutous) in six regular season starts, with a 4-2-2 record in all competitions, allowing just 8 goals.

2006: In his first year as a pro, he served as the backup keeper for 20 of FCD's 32 regular season games but did make a first team appearance…started eight Reserve Division games and made one appearance off the bench, compiling a 3-3-3 record with a 1.06 GAA.

Attended and played at St. Xavier High School in Louisville, KY, where he was an NSCAA High School and a McDonald's All-American as a forward…Was a starting goalkeeper in HS in 1999 before moving and excelling at forward in 2000-2001…Played for the nationally-renowned Javanon Soccer Club from 1994-2003 and was Kentucky state champions from 1998-2003…was a member of the Kentucky ODP State Team since 1997…Made the ODP regional team in 1998 and '99, and was a national pool player in 1998…Played for the PDL franchise Columbus Stars (2004) and the Chicago Fire Premier 2005)…trained with full U.S. Men's National Team before World Cup qualifier against Grenada 2004 which was played in Columbus.
